Facility Performance: <br />Average daily gallons pumped: <br />99,000 gallons <br />Maximum daily gallons pumped: <br />149,000 gallons <br />Minimum daily gallons pumped: <br />68,000 gallons <br />Total monthly gallons pumped: <br />3,068,000 gallons <br />Average daily chlorine concentration: 0.4 mg/1 <br />Required chlorine concentration: 0.2 to 0.5 mg/l <br />*Average daily fluoride concentration: 0.6 mg/l* <br />*Required fluoride concentration: 0.9 mg/l to 1.5 mg/l* <br />*The MDH is currently reviewing the pros and cons of fluoride addition and <br />are looking at lowering the required amount to a range of 0.6 mg/l to 1.0 mg/l* <br />Treatment Chemicals Used for the Month: 32.0 lbs Chlorine <br />6.0 gals Fluoride <br />�-- 7.7 lbs Potassium Permanganate <br />II. Operations and Maintenance: <br />• The MN Department of Health Monthly Fluoridation Report was completed and <br />submitted. <br />• May P, had four and a half hours of Driver's Training with Mike Loven. Attended <br />Council Meeting. <br />• May 4th, drove dump -truck to MMUA safety meeting in Nisswa. <br />• May 5th, attended safety meeting with Sandy and Jeanyne. <br />• May 6th -13th, I was out on vacation. <br />• May 16th, attended monthly budget meeting and reviewed 2012 budget packet. Our <br />sales & use tax is high now because, in the past, the quarterly sales tax revenue from <br />commercial water customers was paid to MN Revenue from this same revenue account. <br />Per our auditors, no expenditures should be charged to a revenue account. Therefore, <br />the quarterly sales tax will now be paid to MN Revenue from the sales and use tax <br />expenditure line item. <br />• May 19th, mowed grass for the first time at the WTP. <br />• May 24th, had Tom's Backhoe replace water shut -off at 31078 Government Drive. <br />• May 25th, read the water meters. <br />• May 26th, mowed grass at the WTP, main lift- station, water tower and the ditches at the <br />W WTP. <br />
