However,MnDOT said they would not <br /> participate in upgrading an existing road(whether the City has or has not accepted it), <br /> even if it is part of the proposed service road network(besides, no accesses on the highway <br /> are being closed thru this stretch). <br /> The City can upgrade this road—whether it be a wider pavement section,new sanitary <br /> sewer,new watermain, assessed, etc. - as a part of the highway project(the City would get <br /> more "bang for their buck" due to economy of scale in conjunction with this larger project). <br /> 25. On the west side, the City has in the past looked at extending City sanitary sewer south <br /> from West Lake Street(see the WSN May 2000 Feasibility Report on Roadway and Utility <br /> Improvements for the Brunes-Royce Addition for a proposed layout and estimated costs). <br /> Considering the present unknown nature and timing of development in this area, the City is <br /> not yet sure whether to initiate such a project as part of the highway project or wait to see if <br /> development would drive such a project at some future time. <br /> 26.
