The Treehouse fire was discussed. Foam helped put the straw fire out very well. <br />Always do around the truck inspection to make sure all doors are closed and things are in <br />place before getting ready to respond or return to station. <br />Tanker I's warning lights in the cab were repaired after the damage was done to it. The <br />warning light fixture had no bulbs in it. <br />During the call this morning radio traffic problems took awhile to clear so we were able <br />to inform our crews what was going on. The car fire was hot and smoky but no flame <br />erupted due to a lack of air. The cause was probably an ipod or mp3 player which was <br />stored in the center counsel. <br />The City did not approve our pension increase during their last meeting. There has been <br />no communication with city officials or any questions asked. Selter motioned we request <br />the City replace our liason council representative due to a lack of communication with the <br />City Council and with our department. The motion was second by Oaks, motion passed <br />unanimous. <br />The pension request was discussed and some questions were answered concerning the <br />normal cost of keeping the fund solvent. <br />The annual safety town for kids is planned for Wednesday, June 8th from 9:00 am to <br />noon.
