City Council Minutes June 7, 2011 Page 5 Mayor Adams informed the Council that she has a meeting with members of the School Board regarding the bus garage on the 15th of June at 12:30 p.m. She invited other Council Members to attend. The Clerk noted that if there is a quorum present, a special meeting would have to be called. 7. Fire Chief Report Report received by Council. 8. Police Chief Monthly Report Report received by Council. 9. Water/Wastewater Monthly Report Report received by Council. Council Member Sjoblad questioned the odor from the sewer ponds. Tina Nolden stated that some of the aerators were broken and would not be able to be fixed until the ponds are down. Council Member Akerson discussed an Issue of the City not being able to locate a force sewer main. He suggested putting a tracer wire on the line. Tina Nolden stated that Bill Tulenchik called to renew his lease with the City. She noted that he has proposed another four -year lease at $5,000 per year. The Clerk noted that Charlie Swenson has requested to be able to bid on the lease. 10. Maintenance Department Monthly Report Nothing to report. 11.1. Discussion on Facilitv Use Plan Tim Houle explained that the EDC has questioned why the City has not proceeded with the facility use plan. Tim stated that he did not complete the plan because of budget concerns and the highway concerns. He also explained that the impetus for having a plan done was based on the expansion of the industrial park and the possible relocation of the spray irrigation fields. Tim Houle stated that the purpose for looking at a facility use plan is now related to growth and capacity. He noted the sewer system in 2010 was at less than 50% capacity. He stated that with this capacity, the City could add about 200 residential connections or 155 Commercial customers.
