sign or signal after sounding siren and displaying <br /> red lights." <br /> (2) 169.03, Subd. 3: "The driver of any authorized <br /> emergency vehicle when responding to an emergency <br /> call, may enter against the run of traffic on any <br /> one-way street or highway where there is authorized <br /> division of traffic, to facilitate traveling to the <br /> area in which an emergency has been reported . . ." <br /> (3) 169.03, Subd. 5: "No driver of any authorized <br /> emergency vehicle shall assume any special privilege <br /> under this chapter when such vehicle is operated in <br /> response to any emergency call or in the immediate <br /> pursuit of an actual or suspected violator of the <br /> law." <br /> (4) 169.17: "The speed limitations set forth in Sections <br /> 169.14 to 169.17 do not apply to authorized emergency <br /> vehicles when responding to emergency calls, but the <br /> drivers thereof shall sound audible signal by siren <br /> and display at least one lighted red light to the - - <br /> front. This provision does not relieve the driver <br /> of an authorized emergency vehicle from the duty to <br /> drive with due regard for the safety of the person <br /> using the street, nor does it protect the driver of <br /> • an authorized emergency vehicle from the consequences <br /> of a reckless disregard of the safety of others." <br /> (18) Use of Weapon Guidelines. It is expressly the policy of the <br /> City of Pequot Lakes that only officially recognized weapons <br /> shall be used by the City of Pequot Lakes Police Department and <br /> said weapons shall only be used pursuant to P.O.S.T. Board <br /> guidelines and as authorized by Minnesota Statutes. <br /> A. Official Weapons. The official recognized weapons for <br /> the City of Pequot Lakes Police Department shall be the <br /> following: <br /> (1) A revolver of .38 or .357 caliber, 9mm, and 44 magnum; <br /> (2) A .12 gauge riot-type shotgun; <br /> (3) Police assault weapons. <br /> (a) /ammunition. The ammunition to be used in the <br /> riot-type shotgun will be either a single slug <br /> or buckshot, which will be provided by the <br /> Department. <br /> The Department will schedule periodic weapons qualifica- <br /> tion shoots and will supply both practice and duty <br /> ammunition at these events. <br /> 9 <br />
