PEQUOT LAKES <br />� PARK COMMISSION <br />THURSDAY, APRIL 14, 2011 <br />CITY HALL <br />� <br />Members Present: Chair Tweed, Commissioners Karen Ettesvold, Pete <br />Clement, and Jeff Bruch <br />Members Absent: Jamie DenHartog <br />Also Present: Council Member Malecha; Sandy Peine, City Clerk; Mike <br />Loven, Public Works Supervisor; and Mayor Adams <br />Call Meetinq to Order <br />The meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m. by Chair Tweed. <br />2. Approve Park Commission Minutes <br />MOTION WAS MADE BY COMMISSIONER CLEMENT TO APPROVE <br />THE MARCH 10, 2011, PARK COMMISSION MINUTES. <br />COMMISSIONER BRUCH SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br />CARRIED 4-0. <br />3. Siqn Concepts for Band Shelter <br />Discussion was held regarding the size of the banners and who would <br />make the banners. It was suggested that the Commission contact Mr. <br />Gunther and ask if his art class could to do this. It was also suggested that <br />Clair Nagel and a person that Jeff Bruch knows who makes signs be <br />contacted. <br />The sign should have the following information on it: "Free Concert Here - <br />Trailside Park — Saturday Night — 7:00 — 9:00 p.m." <br />Chair Tweed stated that she would like a sign on the band shelter that <br />states "Welcome to Pequot Lakes." Staff will check on the size and <br />requirements for this type of sign. <br />4. Schedule Park Tours <br />Mike Loven stated that it would be a good idea to have a tour of the City's <br />parks. This would give the new park commissioners an opportunity to see <br />what parks are available in the City. It would also be an opportunity for the <br />Park Commissioners to offer ideas to improve the parks. The Commission <br />`— agreed that a tour should be scheduled for the next park commission <br />meeting on May 12tn <br />5. Band Shelter Completion <br />
