Park Board Minutes <br />April 14, 2011 <br />Page 2 <br />� ------------------------- <br />Commissioner Clement stated that he is working on the band shelter and <br />that it will be completed by next week. The Commission discussed the <br />need for lights in the band shell. Mike Loven stated that he will contact Mr. <br />Palmer to discuss the lighting needs. <br />6. Other Business <br />The Mayor informed the Commission that she has received a grant in the <br />amount of $5,000 for bike racks. She explained that one bike rack would <br />be placed at Gildner Park, one at Sibley Park, one at Trailside North Park <br />and five in the Trailside Park area in the center of town. She reviewed <br />different bike rack designs. It was suggested that Jeff Krietz be contacted <br />to see if he could build the bike racks. <br />PETE CLEMENT MOVED TO CHECK WITH JEFF KRIETZ FIRST AND <br />IF MR. KRIETZ CAN'T DO THE WORK THEN THE MAYOR SHOULD <br />ORDER THE BIKE RACKS SHE REVIEWED WITH THE PARK <br />COMMISSION (RACKS WITH THE CITY LOGO AND THE SPIRAL BIKE <br />RACKS). COMMISSIONER BRUCH SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br />`' Chair Tweed stated that bushes for the Cole building and band shelter <br />need to be planted. <br />Mayor Adams stated that the City needs to begin working on a master <br />park plan. She suggested combining the project with the Planning <br />Commission. Commissioner Bruch suggested checking with other cities of <br />similar size for park plan guidelines. Commissioner Ettesvold agreed to <br />check with Nisswa and Crosslake to see if they have a master park plan. <br />7. Adjournment <br />There being no further business, COMMISSIONER BRUCH MOVED <br />TO ADJOURN THE MEETING. COMMISSIONER ETTESVOLD <br />SECONDED THE MOTION.
