 CSAH 11 CORRIDOR STUDY GROUP
March 10, 2011
Pequot Lakes City Hall
Members Present:
• Tim Bray — CRC
• Sandy Peine — Pequot Lakes
• Tom Nelson — BP
• Kevin Merschman — BP
• Joe Rudberg — Prepared by:
• Sandy Peine, City Clerk
• Cheri Seils — Pequot Lakes Planning Commission
• Scott Pederson — Pequot Lakes Planning Commission
• Mike Loven — Pequot Lakes
• Rick Linnell — ISD
• Consultant — ISD
1. Project Vision/Overview:
Tim Bray explained that the County has identified areas of need on County Road
 11. He stated that he understands that there are other possible areas of need to be
addressed by Pequot Lakes, Breezy Point, and ISD. The intention of the Corridor
Study Group is to have everyone work together and potentially hire a consultant
to address the issues that are identified in the project scope. He explained that the
County's main concern is around the school (internal traffic and how it affects CR
11). There are other concerns that will be identified by the cities and the school
district. After reviewing the issues that are identified, the scope of the study will
be determined and then the cost of a consultant and how the cost will be divided
will be discussed.
lA. Ground Rules for Decision Making:
If a consultant is hired it will have to be determined who makes the decision as to
whether or not the project is cost effective. It was the consensus of those present
that the major stakeholders would make the decision whether or not to move
forward. The major stakeholders would include Pequot Lakes City Council,
Breezy Point City Council, Crow Wing County Board and the School Board.
2. CWC. Cities and ISD — Proiect Scope and Innut:
Breezv Point
 • Commercial development along the school area
