� MONTHLY STAFF REPORT City Clerk's Office March, 2011 Meetings Citv Council Meetin� March 1, 2011, Regular Meeting � Approved the Fire Protection Agreement between Nisswa and Pequot Lakes • Waived permit fees for Mr. Steffens for relocating cabins at Wilderness Resort • Tabled the dog ordinance • Approved the ordinance relating to animal husbandry • Declined the request to provide fire service to Byron Township • Authorized payment of $900 per year for Assistant Fire Chiefs • Authorized participation with Brainerd Fire Department in a regional radio grant • Approved job descriptions of Police Chief and Police Sergeant • Approved job points and pay range for positions of Police Sergeant and Police Chief • Voted to move forward with the selection process of Police Chief • Contracted with Ray Niemann to assist in the Police Chief selection process • Moved to keep the police department at 6 ofiicers, including the Chief, until a `- decision is made to hire a Police Sergeant • Adopted a Forfeiture Policy • Appointed members to the County Road 11 Corridor Committee • Appointed Jeffry Bruch to the Park Commission Park Commission — March 10. 2011 • Minutes of the meeting are attached CSAH 11 Corridor Studv Groun — March 10, 2011 • Minutes are attached Economic Development Commission — March 15, 2011 • Minutes of the EDC meeting are attached HRA Minutes — March 15. 2011 • Minutes are attached PROJECTS: • Local Board of Appeal — The Council voted to turn the Local Board of Appeal � duties over to the County. The City is now working with our Attorney to draw up the necessary documents
