Park Board Minutes
September 10, 2009
Page 2
The Commissioners moved to the Cole Memorial Building. The
Commissioners reviewed the sign proposal from Faye Tweed. They also
reviewed information provided by Dawn Bittner regarding City sign
regulations. The Commissioner looked at possible locations for the signs.
It was the consensus of the Commission that the new sign be placed in
the identical location as the existing sign. It was also the consensus that
the sign read as follows:
"Cole Memorial Building"
"Museum"
"Community Center"
Discussion was held about the possibility of locating a sign on the bell
"Museum." It was the consensus that this could be discussed with the
Historical Society.
Chair Tweed stated that she would have a new sign concept drawn up
and then the Clerk would mail it to the Commissioners for approval.
5. Garbage Cans
Mike Loven stated that the Council has requested the Park Board to
consider working with the School to have the students repaint the existing
garbage cans. The Park Board felt this was a good idea and directed Mike
Loven to work with the School on this project.
6. Other Business
There was no other business.
7. Adjournment
There being no further business, COMMISSIONER JOHNSON MOVED
TO ADJOURN THE MEETING. COMMISSIONER JURCHEN
SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:45 PM.
Res ectfully Submitted,
I,
Sandy Pein
City Clerk
