Park Board Minutes <br /> February 12, 2009 <br /> Page 2 <br /> 31, 2011). COMMISSIONER JURCHEN SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 5. Gildner Park <br /> Mike Loven stated that he has received an estimate of $140 per table to <br /> build picnic tables for the park. Mayor Adams suggested that the Park <br /> Commission have a drawing of the park to determine how many are <br /> needed and where they should be placed. <br /> Mayor Adams suggested putting playground equipment in the park. She <br /> also suggested contacting young parents in the area to assist in the <br /> playground equipment design for the park. <br /> Discussion was held regarding advertising the parks and especially the <br /> ones with playground equipment. Jamie DenHartog stated that he is <br /> working on a park brochure. He noted that the brochure could have a <br /> notation of which parks offer playground equipment. Mike Loven stated <br /> that it may be necessary to install street lights at the Gildner Park. Council <br /> Member Malecha suggested using park dedication funds to design a <br /> parking lot. Mike Loven suggested that this could be done in conjunction <br /> with the South Oak Street Project. <br /> COMMISSIONER JOHNSON MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE PARK <br /> COMMISSION TO BUILD TWO PICNIC TABLES FOR GILDNER PARK. <br /> COMMISSIONER DENHARTOG SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 6. Park Signs <br /> Chair Tweed informed the Commission that her grandsons would be <br /> willing to make the signs for the parks. Discussion was held regarding sign <br /> size and placement at Trailside Park. It was the consensus of the <br /> Commission to tour the parks at the March meeting. <br /> 7. Review Park Budget <br /> The Park Commission reviewed the 2009 park budget. <br /> 8. Other Business <br /> Mike Loven explained that a developer has offered the City an Outlot in <br /> the Branches Plat. He explained that this Outlot offers an access to the <br />
