Park Board Minutes <br /> May 10, 2007 <br /> Page 2 <br /> Mike Loven noted that 2 bids will be required. Cathy Malecha suggested <br /> contacting PJ Brennan for a bid. Chair Anderson will contact PJ. <br /> 4. Discuss Options for New Park Board Member <br /> James DenHartung who owns Due North Construction would like to serve <br /> on the Park Board. <br /> MOTION MADE BY COMMISSIONER TWEED TO MAKE A <br /> RECOMMENDATION TO THE CITY COUNCIL THAT THE PARK <br /> BOARD ACCEPT JAMES DEN HARTUNG AS A PARK BOARD <br /> MEMBER. COMMISSINER JURCHEN SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> 5. Other Business <br /> Dave McMillan, a teacher at Pequot Lakes High School, notified Park <br /> Board Chair Anderson that the school is having a skate board park <br /> presentation on Monday, May 14th at noon. <br /> Gloria Dei Luther Church has requested they be allowed to discontinue <br /> maintaining the flower garden by UBC and wants the Park Board's <br /> permission to remove their plants. It was the consensus of the Board to let <br /> them remove their plants. Mike Loven needs to be notified when the <br /> plants have been removed. <br /> Discussed the appearance of the water tower. It's dull and needs painting. <br /> MOTION MADE BY COMMISSIONER JURCHEN TO CONTACT THE <br /> CHAMBER THROUGH MIKE LOVEN TO GET THE WATER TOWER <br /> PAINTED. COMMISSIONER TWEED SECONDED. MOTION CARRIED <br /> 3-0. <br /> Discussed entering into an agreement with Tru Green. Their cost is the <br /> same as last year of$1 ,215.00. <br /> MOTION MADE BY CHAIR ANDERSON TO ENTER INTO AN <br /> AGREEMENT WITH TRU GREEN FOR AN ANNUAL COST OF <br /> $1,215.00. COMMISSIONER JURCHEN SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> Discussion was held regarding Trailside Park (Corky Smith's <br /> development). Corky plans on having their streets in and sod laid by June <br />
