Christmas Lights <br /> • Timing for Taking Down <br /> • Storage of Christmas Lights <br /> Mike told the Park Board that he heard MN Power Company was <br /> putting up Cities Christmas lights for free. They put them up the <br /> day after thanksgiving and are taking them down in January. Mike <br /> called MN Power and found out that they will do it for Pequot Lakes as <br /> well. The Park Board would like the snowflakes and the lights in the <br /> park left up for awhile and will let Maintenance know when they want <br /> them taken down. <br /> Mike Loven will contact MN Power and ask how late we can request to <br /> take the lights down, including the ones on the big spruce trees. <br /> Discussion was held regarding storage space for Christmas lights. <br /> Discussed cost of building a storage shed and where they would place <br /> it. This will be discussed further at next months meeting. The lights are <br /> currently stored in the water tower. <br /> 6. Bobber Tower Park — Paul's Chair <br /> Discussion was held regarding the chair's stairway blocking the view of <br /> the chair. Chair Anderson presented a letter to the Park Board that he <br /> received from a concerned citizen regarding this issue. Concerns have <br /> been made by other citizens as well. The Park Boards main concern is <br /> safety and insurance issues. The Board discussed different options <br /> such as removing the stairway all together and not allow climbing on <br /> the chair. Trudy Jurchen will check with Mark on insurance liability if <br /> we have a stairway or not and will bring it to next months meeting for <br /> further discussion. <br /> 7. Goals for 08' <br /> • Park Signs <br /> • Garden Maintenance <br /> • Completion of Bobber Tower Park <br /> Sandy Peine told the Park Board that Planning and Zoning has no <br /> regulations on park identification signs. Planning & Zoning would need <br /> to do an amendment to the ordinance in 2008. The Board should start <br /> planning on design & size of signs they would like and plan on <br />
