It was suggested possibly using the
Sentence to Serve program to help maintain the gardens. Del
Anderson will contact Pete to see if Sentence to Serve could complete
area around the gazebo before the Governor's opener. Jamie Den
Hartog will also speak to Ennenga's green house in Jenkins for
suggestions and pricing of maintaining the gardens.
There are still items that need completion at the Bobber Tower Park.
Items such as adding the rope between the posts, adding planters,
chips, flowers, garbage cans (1 at bobber park & 1 at gazebo) and
complete staining of stairway and benches.
8. Mayor
Malecha will be attending.
Mayor Malecha stated she had received a letter offering to sell the
Park Board a parcel of land for a walking trail. The Park Board
discussed the issue. The Clerk noted that the City will be working on
developing a park plan to define future parks, trails and open space
needs. The Park Board felt that it would be premature to purchase
property for public recreational use at this time.
