Call Meeting to Order <br /> Chair Anderson called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. <br /> 2. Approve Park Board Minutes <br /> COMMISSIONER TWEED MOVED TO APPROVE THE JANUARY <br /> 10TH, 2008 PARK BOARD MINUTES. COMMISSIONER JURCHEN <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 3. Update from Lions on Chokecherry Festival <br /> Jim Fruth from the Lions Club gave a presentation on the Chokecherry <br /> Festival scheduled for August 16th, 2008 in Pequot Lakes. Mr. Fruth <br /> gave the Board a copy of their insurance policy. There are several <br /> events scheduled, including a street dance which will be held on the <br /> Legion Club premises. The Club will be asking the Governor to <br /> proclaim Pequot Lakes the Chokecherry Capital of the World or at <br /> least, of Minnesota. <br /> 4. Lynn Scharenbroich — Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway Update <br /> Lynn presented an update of the Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway which <br /> included the Byway sites in the Pequot Lakes area, the value to the <br /> Community & projects and activities currently in progress. Lynn also <br /> provided the Board with handouts detailing her presentation along with <br /> a tour map outlining the Byway. <br /> 5. Bobber Tower Park — Paul's Chair <br /> Sandy Peine provided a copy of an e-mail she received from the Cities <br /> Insurance Agent, Mark Jurchen. Mark stated he contacted the League <br />
