Park Board Minutes <br /> October 12, 2006 <br /> Page 3 <br /> Sandy Peine suggested having Community Growth come to a Park Board <br /> meeting and explain more about Park Dedication fees. <br /> 4. BUSCHMANN PARK DEDICATION <br /> Bittner stated the applicant for this Final Plat is the Housing and <br /> Redevelopment Authority, a non-profit entity; The HRA removed the old <br /> dwelling on the lot and plans to build affordable housing. The HRA is not <br /> creating new lots; they are reducing the number of residential lots from 4 <br /> to 3. Staff recommended the Park Board waive the Park Dedication Fee <br /> for the HRA. <br /> CHAIR ANDERSON MADE A MOTION TO WAIVE THE PARK <br /> DEDICATION FEE BECAUSE THE HRA IS A NON-PROFIT ENTITY. <br /> COMMISSIONER TWEED SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 3-0. <br /> 5. TRAILSIDE ESTATES — PARK DEDICATION UPDATE <br /> Sandy Peine explained that she had spoken with Mr. Smith regarding the <br /> park dedication requirements set by the Park Board in September. Mr. <br /> Smith did not provide a drawing as requested by the Park Board. No <br /> further action taken. <br /> 6. HOLIDAY DECORATIONS <br /> Chair Anderson asked the Board when they wanted the holiday <br /> decorations put up. Mike Loven stated the lights need to be plugged in at <br /> the same time the lights are hung up. All agreed to decorate Nov 18th & <br /> 19th. <br /> 7. OTHER BUSINESS <br /> Sandy Peine stated that the Park Board adopted the Park and Open <br /> Space Land Acquisition Policy for determining whether to acquire park <br /> land or a fee in lieu of land dedication at the September meeting. She <br /> suggested that the Park Board members review the policy. <br />
