MEETING OF THE PEQUOT LAKES <br /> PARK BOARD <br /> THURSDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2006 <br /> CITY HALL <br /> Members Present: Chair Anderson, Board Members Tweed, Jurchen <br /> Members Absent: Board Member Samuelson, Koslofsky <br /> Staff Present: Mayor Malecha; Sandy Peine, City Clerk; and Mike Loven, <br /> Street Maintenance Superintendent, Jeanyne Alderson, <br /> Office Assistant, Dawn Bittner, Zoning Administrator <br /> 1. CALL MEETING TO ORDER <br /> Chair Anderson called the meeting together at 4:00 p.m. <br /> 2. PARK BOARD MINUTES <br /> COMMISSIONER TWEED MOVED TO APPROVE THE 9/14/2006 PARK <br /> BOARD MINUTES. COMMISSIONER JURCHEN SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> 3, BOBBER PARK — PROGRESS AND FUTURE PLANS <br /> Chair Anderson gave an update on the park improvements. He stated it <br /> has been framed in, bushes and decorative items added. <br /> Chair Anderson suggested that the Board start coming up with sketches of <br /> ideas and sizes of items to include in the park theme. <br /> 3A. DAVE ANDERSON — POP IN THE PARK <br /> Dave Anderson addressed the Board asking if they would be interested in <br /> starting a POP IN THE PARK' night which would include having different <br /> bands & concerts play music in the park for the public. He suggested <br /> Saturday nights during July starting out until we see how it goes. Some <br /> suggestions were the MN Guard Band, Police Bands & Military Bands <br /> which play at no charge. <br /> Dave would be willing to apply for a grant but does not know if he would <br /> apply under the Park Board or the City. Sandy will help research grant <br /> information. <br /> Sandy asked the Board what their interest was with this. All were in favor. <br />
