Park Board Minutes <br /> March 9, 2006 <br /> Page 2 <br /> 3A. Park Dedication Review <br /> Lisa Barajas reviewed the outcome of the joint meeting with the Planning <br /> Commission and the Park Board in relation to park dedication. She noted <br /> that criteria were identified for the Park Board to use when reviewing park <br /> dedication requests. <br /> 3B. Park Dedication for RV Resort Village <br /> The Park Board reviewed the RV Resort Village for park dedication. The <br /> Park Board felt that the development would have a large impact on the <br /> park system. <br /> COMMISSIONER SAMUELSON MOVED TO RECOMMEND TO THE <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION THAT THE CITY COLLECT A PARK <br /> DEDICATION FEE IN THE AMOUNT OF 10% OF THE MARKET VALUE <br /> OF THE LAND. COMMISSIONER KOSLOFSKY SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 3D. Tax Forfeit Lands and County Land Sale <br /> Lisa Barajas explained the tax forfeit land procedures. She noted that the <br /> Park Board will be reviewing tax forfeit lands to see if there is any value in <br /> the City acquiring the land. It was noted that policies and criteria should be <br /> listed for the Park Board to use when reviewing these properties. <br /> Lisa indicated that four parcels of property located at Lots 16-19, Block 17, <br /> Pequot Shady Shores that are tax forfeit. The Park Board reviewed the <br /> properties. <br /> COMMISSIONER KOSLOFSKY MOVED TO RECOMMEND THAT THE <br /> PARK BOARD FURTHER REVIEW THESE PROPERTIES. <br /> COMMISSIONER SAMUELSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 4. Council Action on Park Board Requests <br /> Chair Anderson noted that the City Council approved the following <br /> expenses: <br /> $25,600 FROM THE PARK BUDGET TO BE USED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> • WATERING SYSTEM AT TRAILSIDE PARK <br /> • BLACK DIRT FOR TRAILSIDE PARK <br />
