The Clerk stated that if they are in the City with a dog for more than 30 days they would be required to get a license. MOTION CARRIED 4-1. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON OPPOSED. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO APPROVE SUMMARY PUBLICATION OF THE DOG ORDINANCE. COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. 12.3. Chamber Buildinq The Clerk informed the Council that the Chamber has paid off the loan on the Trailside Building. She explained that the City Attorney is working with the DNR regarding certain deed restrictions on the original deed and how they would affect a transfer of the property to the Chamber from the City. 12.4. Chamber Request for Fundinq The Clerk stated that the Chamber of Commerce is requesting sponsorship for the Stars and Stripes Days and Bean Hole Days. Council Member Sjoblad stated that the City stopped donating to organizations many years ago. Mayor Adams stated that the City provides in-kind service through the police and maintenance departments. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO MAKE NO CASH DONATION TO THE CHAMBER FOR THE STARS AND STRIPES AND BEAN HOLE DAYS EVENTS. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. 12.5. Accountinq Policv Amendment The Clerk explained that she is requesting an amendment to the City's Accounting Policy relating to immediate payment of claims. She explained that the amendment clarifies the procedure. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO APPROVE THE AMENDMENT TO THE ACCOUNTING POLICY AND ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION 11- 10 DELEGATING AUTHORITY FOR PAYMENT OF CERTAIN CLAIMS.
