Bands in the Park <br /> Cathy Malecha informed the Commission that she has ten bands lined up <br /> for summer concerts in the park and has one more spot to fill. <br /> 5. Sign Concept for Band Shelter <br /> Jamie DenHartog informed the Commission that his wife, Lisa, is working <br /> on a sign concept for the band shelter. He questioned whether the <br /> Commission would want a board or individual letters. The Commission <br /> made no decision on the style but suggested that Jamie check with <br /> Planning and Zoning to see what types of signage is allowed. <br /> 6. Project List for 2011 <br /> The Commission discussed the list of 2011 projects from the December 9, <br /> 2010, Park Commission Minutes. The Mayor stated that a way to prioritize <br /> what the community wants in the way of parks is to have people complete <br /> a Park Survey. It was suggested that the survey be distributed in the water <br /> bills and be posted on the web site. The Mayor stated that she would be <br /> willing to distribute the survey to groups within the city. <br /> The Park Commission stated that the priorities for 2011 are to finish the <br /> band shelter, complete the sign on the band shelter, finalize the bands in <br /> the park program, update the park brochures for 2011, to complete the <br /> park survey, and to continue research on the splash park idea. <br /> Faye Tweed suggested publishing a list of the parks available in Pequot <br /> Lakes in the paper to make people more aware of the types and locations <br /> of parks available in the City. <br /> 6. Park Brochure <br /> Jamie DenHartog stated that his wife would be willing to update the park <br /> brochures. <br /> 7. Other Business <br /> The Mayor stated that we are in need of two more Park Commission <br /> Members. <br />
