• Discussion was held switching the event to Fridays next summer. Sue had already asked the vendors if they would be interested in coming on Fridays. Many of them already have scheduled events that they participate or travel to on Fridays during the summer. Dean Brandt offered to chair the committee if the event was switched to Fridays. 7. Upcoming Events • Market in the Park, September 2 • Taste of Pequot, September 18 • Ladies Night Bobber Style, September 30 — Sponsored by BL Broadcasting, Kim Watson. Held at Primetime, upstairs. A total of 13 booth spaces are available. 6 businesses have signed up so far to participate. Business Connect Chair • Kimberly Ziesemer has completed her term as the chair for the Business Connect. We are thankful for all of the hard work and effort that Kimberly has put into growing this business group! • We are in need of a new chair for September 2010 —August 2012. • It was discussed that this could be a team effort of 2 people. • If anyone is interested, contact Sue Galligan at the Pequot Lakes Chamber office. 10. Miss Pequot Lakes Scholarship Pageant Update —Carol Jean Weise and Kimberly Ziesemer • Friends of the library will be sponsoring this event. • The pageant will be held in March or April of 2011. • Committee members are: Kimberly Ziesemer, Carol Jean &John Weise, Barb Merritt, Cindy Noyes, and Cathy Stattelman. 11. Bicycle Friendly Community— Sue Galligan • Sue attended a Bicycle Friendly Community conference in August. • She recommended visiting the bikeleague.org website for more information of how to make Pequot Lakes a more bicycle friendly community.
