� <br />City of <br />Pequot <br />Lakes = -- <br />�.�►GENDA ITEM #8.1B <br />REPORT TO <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />Date: March 1, 2011 <br />Subject: Job Points and Pay Range for Positions of Police <br />Chief and Police Sergeant <br />Report: To help the process of selection move along in a <br />�- timely fashion, the Pay Equity Committee met on <br />Wednesday, February 23, 201 l. Nancy Adams, Mike <br />Loven, Nancy Malecha and Sandy Peine participated. Kate <br />Petersen was not present. Using State guidelines for pay <br />equity and the finalized (although not approved) j ob <br />descriptions, recommendations are hereby presented for <br />Council approval. <br />POLICE SERGEANT <br />The Committee reviewed the job categories provided by the <br />State of Minnesota to find the best match to the City's job <br />description. It was the consensus of the Committee that the <br />duties listed under the State's definitions of Police Sergeant <br />and Police Detective best matched the duties in the City's <br />� <br />job description. <br />
