PEQUOT LAKES PARK COMMISSION <br /> THURSDAY, APRIL 12, 2012 <br /> CITY HALL <br /> Members Present: Commissioners Jeff Bruch, Dena Doughty, Karen Ettesvold <br /> and Chair Pete Clement <br /> Members Absent: Commissioner Faye Tweed <br /> Also Present: Sandy Peine, City Clerk; Mike Loven, Public Works <br /> Supervisor; and Council Member Cathy Malecha <br /> 1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> The meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m. by Chair Clement. <br /> 2. 2/9/2012 Park Commission Minutes <br /> COMMISSIONER BRUCH MOVED TO APPROVE THE 3/8/12 PARK <br /> COMMISSION MINUTES. COMMISSIONER DOUGHTY SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 3. City Flag <br /> Commissioner's discussed the idea of having a City flag. Jeff Bruch <br /> volunteered to check with a couple of people who may be interested in <br /> designing a flag. The Commissioners felt that a 3x5 flag would be a good <br /> size. Jeff stated he would report back to the Commissioners. <br /> 4. 911 Signs <br /> Mike Loven suggested placing 911 signs at the following locations AT $75 <br /> each: <br /> 1. Gildner Park <br /> 2 Fire Tower <br /> 3. Sibley Lake Park <br /> COMMISSIONER BRUCH MOVED TO PURCHASE THE 911 SIGNS <br /> FOR THE THREE PARKS. COMMISSIONER ETTESVOLD SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 5. Memorial — Del Anderson <br /> The Commissioners were reminded that the City received a $500 donation <br /> for some type of memorial for Del Anderson. The Commissioners <br /> discussed the placement of a tree. It was suggested that a tree be planted <br /> in an area by the band shell to replace a tree that had recently died. <br />
