Park Board Minutes <br /> November 13, 2014 <br /> Page 2 <br /> • Bags, Bag Dispenser. Mike Loven stated that the City recently put a bag <br /> dispenser and some bags at the park. It was suggested that one more bag <br /> dispenser and set of bags be purchased for the park. <br /> • 3 Benches — Street Department employees can make them for $100 each. <br /> One to be placed outside the fence and two inside the fenced area. <br /> • Dog Silhouette Signs —Wes Wilson will contact someone who can make <br /> the silhouettes for $100 each. Sheridan suggested using a recognizable <br /> dog such as a golden retriever or German shepherd and having one large <br /> dog and one smaller dog. <br /> • Dog Rules sign and a sign to thank Babinski and Sheridan for the fence. <br /> Sheridan will modify rules and e-mail them to the Clerk who will pass them <br /> onto the Park Commission. If no objections, Mike Loven will have the <br /> signs made. It was suggested to place the thank you sign on the dog <br /> silhouette. <br /> • Cement fire hydrant <br /> Chair Malecha suggested that Sheridan to contact the Echo and ask them to <br /> do an article on the dog park and thanking the Babinski Foundation and <br /> Sheridan Wilson for their part in making the park a reality. <br /> 5. Splash Park Update <br /> Chair Malecha informed the Park Commission that a $5,000 anonymous <br /> donation has been made toward the splash park. <br /> 6. Sibley Lake Park Lighting <br /> Mike Loven noted that the City has received complaints regarding the lack of <br /> lighting at Sibley Lake Park. He explained that the lights came down when the <br /> overhead wires were buried. Inexpensive light fixtures will be installed to get <br /> through the winter. After that more permanent lighting fixtures will be installed. <br /> 7. Winter Park Commission Meetings <br /> The Clerk asked if the Commission wanted to continue meeting during the winter <br /> months. She stated that staff will be working on the Bands in the Park project <br /> during the winter. She also noted that the Park Brochure should be completed <br /> sometime in the spring. <br /> It was the consensus of the Park Commission to meet in December and cancel <br /> the January and February Park Commission meetings. <br /> 8. Other Business <br /> Mayor Adams stated that Park Commission volunteers are needed to build a float <br /> promoting Mayo Lake Nature Preserve. The float will be in the Light Parade to be <br />
