PEQUOT LAKES PARK COMMISSION <br /> THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 2014 <br /> CITY HALL <br /> Members Present: Chair Malecha, Commissioners Ettesvold, Nagel, Bruch, Caouette <br /> and Ronning <br /> Members Absent: Commissioner Gibbons <br /> Also Present: Nancy Adams, Mayor; Sandy Peine, City Clerk; Mike Loven, Public <br /> Works Supervisor <br /> 1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> Chair Malecha called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm. <br /> 2. Consider Agenda <br /> Chair Malecha added light parade float and Trailside Park bathrooms to the <br /> agenda under Other Business. <br /> COMMISSIONER NAGEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE AGENDA AS <br /> AMENDED. COMMISSIONER CAOUETTE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br /> MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> 3. 10/9/14 Park Commission Minutes <br /> COMMISSIONER RONNING MOVED TO APPROVE THE 10/9/2014 PARK <br /> COMMISSION MINUTES. COMMISSIONER ETTESVOLD SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> 4. Dog Park Update <br /> Mayor Adams reported that the Babinski Foundation has completed the dog park <br /> fencing and donated the fence materials and labor. The Park Commission <br /> thanked the Babinski Foundation for the generous donation. <br /> Sheridan Wilson and Wes Wilson were present. Sheridan informed the <br /> Commission that she has raised close to $1,100 which she will be donating for <br /> amenities to the dog park. She stated she was very excited to see the park come <br /> to fruition. <br /> The Commission discussed amenity options. The following amenities for the dog <br /> park were suggested: <br /> • Trees —Any trees that would be colorful but no Pine Trees. Cathy Malecha <br /> suggested that Sheridan contact Jim Fruth as he may be able to order <br /> trees at a discount. <br />
