Park Board Minutes <br /> June 11, 2015 <br /> Page 2 <br /> Sictns <br /> Mike Loven questioned whether the Commission wanted signs posted at the <br /> park. It was the consensus of the Commission to install signs that will state the <br /> park hours, no overnight parking, and that the rules will be enforced. <br /> Posts <br /> Mike Loven discussed options to limit parking on the park right-of-way located <br /> along the street. <br /> COMMISSIONER BRUCH MOVED TO PLACE WOODEN POSTS 30 INCHES <br /> TALL AND 7-8 FEET APART IN THE RIGHT-OF-WAY ALONG THE ROAD TO <br /> ELIMINATE PARKING. COMMISSIONER ETTESVOLD SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> Swing-set <br /> Mike Loven explained that the road improvement has caused the road to be <br /> located closer to the swing-set which causes a safety issue. It was the <br /> consensus of the Commission to remove the swing-set and not replace it due to <br /> safety concerns and because the swing set is not compliant with required code <br /> regulations. <br /> COMMISSIONER ETTESVOLD MOVED TO REMOVE THE SWING-SET AT <br /> SIBLEY LAKE PARK DUE TO SAFETY CONCERNS. COMMISSIONER <br /> RONNING SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> It was the consensus of the Commission to replace the swing-set with <br /> playground equipment similar to what is used at Giltner Park when funds are <br /> available. <br /> 5. Trail Side Park <br /> Fence <br /> The Commission discussed the location of the fence. <br /> COMMISSIONER NORDBY MOVED TO PLACE THE FENCE UP TO 10 FEET <br /> AWAY FROM THE PLAY GROUND. COMMISSIONER NAGEL SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> Ribbon Cutting <br /> Clerk Peine noted that the Ribbon Cutting for the Playground will be on August <br /> 1st at 6:00 p.m. The Community Action Group is taking the lead in planning the <br /> event. Park Commissioners should try to attend. <br /> Bands in the Park <br />
