On October 2, 2001, the Pequot Lakes City Council conducted a public <br /> hearing and thereafter moved and voted unanimously to annex the <br /> described property and zone it commercial. <br /> 7. No interested party made any objection to the annexation nor to the <br /> zoning commercial at the public hearing, and no party raised objection for <br /> any reason during City Council proceedings and no party raised objection <br /> for any reason during City Council proceedings and no party raised <br /> objection or attempted appeal at any time during applicable appeal <br /> periods thereafter. <br /> 8. Conclusion: The described property in question is zoned Commercial. <br /> Roll Call Vote: Mr. Habein: Abstain; Mr. Nelson: Aye; Mr. Hallan: Aye; Mr. <br /> Derksen: Aye. Motion carried. <br /> APPLICANT: City of Pequot Lakes <br /> Applicant requests standards for used dwellings being moved to residential <br /> / property. <br /> Mr. Marohn explained that the Planning and Zoning Office has had several <br /> applications for building permits to move used, substandard houses into the City. <br /> These used structures are not up to our new dwelling standards. He had <br /> contacted Breezy Point to determine their criteria. Mr. Marohn suggested <br /> inserting Used Structure as a Conditional Use Permit in residential zones with the <br /> following conditions: <br /> 1. A Certified Home Inspection to include at least: <br /> a. Electrical wiring to meet state code; <br /> b. Plumbing to meet state code; <br /> c. Foundation adaptability and condition (i.e.: floor joists) <br /> d. Roof condition; <br /> e. Structural integrity; <br /> f. Doors, windows, siding — all in good condition. <br /> 2. Plans to correct deficiencies indicated by the inspection. <br /> 3. Age of structure. <br /> 4. Type of Construction of building (i.e.: stick-built, manufactured, pole barn, <br /> etc). <br /> 5. Building must meet City Ordinances (i.e.: minimum size 20' X 20'). <br /> 6. Pictures of the structure, all four (4) sides, taken within the last 60 days. <br /> 7. Proposed foundation. <br /> 8. Proposed improvements/changes in addition to #2 above. <br /> 9. Type of exterior, and plans for any improvement. <br /> 10.Landscape design in diagram/map layout form. <br /> 11.Location and approximate size of nearest 5 homes (out to 1,000 feet <br /> max.). <br /> 12.Intended use of home (sale, personal use or rental). <br /> 13.Timeframe for completion. <br />
