� Clerk's January 2011 Staff Report Page 2 of 3 ---------------------------------------- • Staff ineeting agenda is attached. The City staff frequently holds staff ineetings with department heads. From time to time the Mayor or a council member will attend the meetings. Park Commission — Januarv 13. 2011 � The Park Commission is still pursuing the idea of a water splash park concept at Trailside Park. The Commission felt that research should be done prior to moving forward. The Commission will survey communities that have splash parks to get a better understanding of the concept. • The "Bands in the Park" program has been set for the 2011 summer season. A program is attached. • The Park Commission is working on a sign concept for the band shelter. • The Park Commission has put together a survey that they will provide to the community in an attempt to find out what types of parks the community is interested in having in Pequot Lakes. • The 2011 projects will consist of completing the band shelter, working on a band shelter sign, updating the park brochures and completing a park survey. Economic Development Commission — Januarv 18. 2011 • The EDC held a work session on developing an incentive program for smaller � projects in the City. The EDC plans on continuing its discussion on this program. HRA Minutes — Januarv 18, 2011 • Minutes are attached Cable Commission Meeting — January 19. 2011 • Minutes are attached PROJECTS: Board and Commission Member — The Council granted municipal consent to the alternate route on December 14, 2010. Board and Commission Terms — Board and Commission terms have been updated with letters sent to outgoing and incoming commissioners. Job Evaluation Committee — The job evaluation committee met to review job descriptions, points and pay for the positions of Water/Wastewater Manager and Maintenance Supervisor. Bicvcle Friendlv Communitv — Chamber Meetin� — Januarv 13, 2011— The City � Staff has been attending the Bicycle Friendly Community meetings sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce. .
