Unfortunately, with continuing resolutions, the status of this request is on hold. • Public Input Process / Preliminary Layout o We will meet with a Focus Group. The Focus Group members will be determined by the City (a possible list would be finro Council members, a P&Z Commission representative, City Clerk, Street Supervisor, Water & Wastewater Supervisor, City Engineer, and one or finro business people from this corridor). The Focus Group's initial role will be to review draft material and a survey to be presented to the public and properties along the corridor in seeking their input. o We will prepare for and facilitate a First Public Information / Input Session at which we will present a range of pictures of different street and streetscape elements. We will also prepare and hand out a survey. The City will advertise for this. o We will prepare for and facilitate a(breakfast) meeting specifically with property owners along this corridor to cover the same items as the First Public Information / Input Session, including asking them to fill out a survey. The City will send out invitations for this. o We will then meet with the PSZ Commission to seek their input. o After the above three meetings, we will meet with the Focus Group to review the input and surveys received from the above three meetings and funnel down to a proposed improvement layout. This layout may include an altemative for different components. � o We will prepare some drawings / exhibits with the proposed improvement layout and altematives. At this stage we will also prepare a rough cost estimate of these improvements. o We will then meet with the Focus Group to confirm our understanding of and review the information provided to date. At this meeting, we witl also discuss the scope of our efforts for subsequent Design, Bidding, and Construction phases. o We will meet with the City Council to update them on the process and the outcomes of this immediately previous Focus Group meeting. Our estimated cost (this public process is somewhat variable) for the above services is $27,600. Time-wise, we would like to get authorization for this at this City Council meeting so we can move forward on this phase. We a�e hopeful we can have the First Public Information / Input Session before the Fishing Opener so we can do design over the summer and have a final public meeting after Labor Day with the thoughts of possibly bidding in ea�ly 2012. We would submit that we want to keep the process moving forward so we do not risk the City needing to band aid something before a final plan can be implemented. In a brief look ahead, possibly one of the first tasks in the Design phase will be to have a Second Public Information / Feedback Meeting at which we will present the input received in the form of a proposed layout with possibly some alternatives for different components. However, this depends on what the Focus Group believes is the status of the layout. One of the last tasks � for the Design Phase could be a"95% design" Public Meeting at which the near final design will be presented and construction phasing can be discussed.
