JOINT RESOLUTION FOR ORDERLY ANNEXATION BETWEEN THE CITY OF <br /> PEQUOT LAKES AND THE TOWNSHIP OF SIBLEY, MINNESOTA <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Pequot Lakes (hereinafter the "City"), and the Township <br /> of Sibley (hereinafter the "Township") have had discussions regarding the <br /> planning and development of land areas adjacent to the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council and the Township Board have undertaken a study <br /> of the factors impacting growth and development; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council and the Township Board desire to accomplish future <br /> planning and development of land areas nearby and adjacent to the City in an <br /> orderly fashion. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Pequot Lakes and <br /> the Township Board of Sibley as follows: <br /> 1. Designation of Orderly Annexation Area: The City and the Township <br /> desire to designate, by joint resolution and agreement, the following area <br /> ("Orderly Annexation Area") as subject to orderly annexation under and <br /> pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 414.0325: <br /> That part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 3, Township 136 North, <br /> Range 29 West, Crow Wing County, Minnesota, lying North of a line 700 <br /> Feet South of the South line of the tract of land conveyed in Book 200 of <br /> Deeds Page 286 to the Minnesota Power and Light Company and lying <br /> South of the South line of the tract of land conveyed to the Minnesota <br /> Power and Light Company in Book 200 of Deeds page 286, that lies East <br /> of the East Right of Way line of State Highway Number 371 as said <br /> highway is described in Final Certificate filed April 8th, 1953, in Book 117 <br /> of Deeds Page 491 and that also lies West of a line 500.00 feet East of, <br /> and parallel with, the East Right of Way line of State Highway Number 371 <br /> as said highway is described in Final Certificate filed April 8t n, 1953, in <br /> Book 117 of Deeds page 491, except the West 300.00 feet of said 500.00 <br /> feet thereof. (Being a 200.00 foot strip of land.) <br /> AND <br /> That part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 3, Township 136 North, <br /> Range 29 West, Crow Wing County, Minnesota, lying Southerly of a line <br /> measured 700.00 feet Southerly of and parallel with the South line of the <br /> tact of land conveyed to the Minnesota Power and Light Company in <br /> Book 200 of Deeds, Page 286 and that lies Easterly of the Easterly <br />
