Notes from last months meeting.
Questions were raised regarding the correct zoning for the Jack Pine Center and Michael Hurry's property.
The correct zoning should be Commercial. At some point in the future when the new maps are color coded, we
will code these properties as commercial.
Pending an Ordinance Revision, the Planning & Zoning Commission Board acknowledges and allows a
variance from Section 15.16: Pont B. This is the sentence about loading and unloading in the Industrial Park.
(See attached)
Your concerns regarding the lots purchased by Mike Arvig in the Industrial Park were brought to the attention
of Marty Peisch. She stated that she was working on this matter. If you have questions, please direct them to
Marty.
In determining a fee for hauling in grade or fill, the following information was obtained from these cities or
townships:
Nisswa: No charge for normal lots hauling in under 10 cubic yards. If over 10 cubic yards, a Conditional
Use Permit is required. C.U.P. fee is $180.00.
Breezy Point: $50.00 for 10 cubic yards in the Shore land Impact Zone. Residential lots can haul in up to 50
Cubic yards for $50.00.
Lakeshore: Doesn't charge unless there is a huge amount hauled in. If this is done, a Conditional Use
Permit is required. C.U.P. fee is $200.00 for residential. Lots.
Sibley Township: A $150.00 fee is charged for all sand blankets, dirt and fill. They give $50 to the Soil
Conservation Dept., $50 to their Planning & Zoning Commission and $50 to the Township.
