DIVISION 115: TRAVEL TRAILER AND CAMPING <br /> Recognizing that many parcels of property are held in title for only recreational use and that the <br /> property owner's immediate need is for recreational vehicle or tent placement, it is the policy of <br /> Sibley Township that such use be fair weather seasonal use, SEASONAL USE BASIS SHALL <br /> MEAN NOT TO EXCEED 180 DAYS PER CALENDAR YEAR. Further, that tenting or <br /> camping units, recreational vehicles, buses, etc, may be allowed in a manner that is conducive <br /> to keeping an attractive, esthetic, orderly, stable, wholesome and nuisance-free environment that <br /> such use should not substantially diminish or otherwise impair property values within the <br /> vicinity and not cause any unreasonable adverse effect on adjacent property. Restrictive <br /> covenants may prohibit the placement of camping units on some properties. <br /> Camping and recreational use of a property is to be by OWNERS OF THE PROPERTY ONLY. <br /> Camping units and/or recreational vehicles shall be placed on the property in such a manner that <br /> all required setbacks from lakes, streams, roads, and sideyard lines can be met. <br /> A. Section 115-010 Sewage Disposal. <br /> Disposal of all sewage wastes and waste waters generated from use of the property shall be done <br /> in a manner in keeping with applicable State and County standards i.e., an APPROVED <br /> SEWAGE TREATMENT SYSTEM. Disposal of solid waste (garbage and debris)generated <br /> from the use of the property shall be in a manner in keeping with applicable County standards <br /> i.e., in a suitable container and placed in an approved disposal site in a timely manner. <br /> A. Section 115-020 Licensing and Dimensions. <br /> 3. If the camping unit is on wheels, the unit must be currently licensed in the name of the <br /> OWNER OF THE PROPERTY. <br /> Travel trailers dimensions are limited to the following, 8 foot maximum width and 35 foot <br /> maximum length. <br /> Full-cut units, decks and/or storage buildings may be allowed on parcels of property that meet all <br /> State and County Shoreland Rules size requirements. However, these structures are not allowed <br /> on approved CAMPGROUND OR PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT SITES. <br /> Section 115-030 Permits. <br /> A permit is required for SEASONAL placement of a camping unit. This is a yearly fee of$50.00 <br /> with yearly inspections. Also a sewage treatment system permit and installation is required, this is <br /> an additional $100.00. The unit must be removed from the property for 180 days per calendar <br /> year. <br /> If placement of the unit on the property is desired during a construction period, the Owner must <br /> make application for a CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT (fee of$200.00). The conditional use <br /> permit may be issued only upon approval of the Sibley Township Planning Commission after a <br /> public hearing. <br /> FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS ORDINANCE MAY RESULT IN THE REVOCATION <br /> OF THE PERMIT. <br /> Sibley 7bnvnship Zoning Ordinance Article III 61 <br />
