February 20, 2003
Mr. Curt Pestello
P.O. Box 179
Pequot Lakes, MN 56472
Re: Butcher Block Signs
Dear Mr. Pestello,
The City of Pequot Lakes has a sign Ordinance regulating sign size and placement within
the City limits. Although the Ordinance has undergone revisions within the last year, a
Ordinance requiring permits for all signs has been in effect for a number of years.
We have noticed a number of signs and banners that have been erected on your property
recently. We have no record in our file to show that any permit has been issued for these
signs.
Please remove all signs that have not been permitted and/or immediately apply for a
permit for all signs that you would like to display. To obtain a sign permit in the Exempt
Commercial zone, you will need to prepare a sign concept plan detailing the size and
location of the signs you wish to display. You can obtain a sign permit application at
zoning office at the Sibley Center.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES
a_02/0„e___
Charles Marohn, PE
Planning and Zoning Administrator
Cc: Dawn Bittner, Zoning Clerk
Planning Commission
