February 19, 2003
Mike Arvig
P.O. Box 812
Pequot Lakes, MN 56472
Gilroy Arvig
36599 ABC Drive
Crosslake, MN 56442
Re: Industrial Park Lots
Dear Mr.Arvig and Mr.Arvig:
This is the third letter we have sent you on this matter. Thus far, you have not responded to
any of our attempts to communicate with you.
You have purchased two lots in the City of Pequot Lakes Industrial Park. When you made the
purchase of those lots, you made an agreement with the City that you would develop the lots
within 12 months. We indicated in an earlier letter that we would like to meet with you right
away to discuss the details of your development plans.
We have been in contact with parties who are interested in acquiring property in the industrial
park. We would like to discuss options with you for you to develop your property, sell your
property or trade your property for another property yet to be developed in the park. If we can
reach an agreement on one of these options, no further action on our behalf would be necessary.
As you are well aware, the sale of the lots was made to you by the City at a discounted price in
order to further the City's objectives regarding economic growth and development. Your
agreement to develop the lots within twelve months was meant to promote additional spin-off
development to benefit the entire area. The City is committed to making sure that these lots are
developed soon.
Please contact Dawn Bittner at the Pequot Lakes Zoning Office right away to schedule a time
when we can meet to discuss this situation and review your plans.
Sincerely,
CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES
lid-- o2 A\,& '`
Charles Marohn, PE
Planning and Zoning Administrator
Cc: Planning Commission
Dawn Bittner,Zoning Clerk
