PEQUOT LAKES <br /> PLANNING&ZONING COMMISSION <br /> REGULAR MEETING <br /> NOVEMBER 14,2000 <br /> The regular meeting of the Pequot Lakes Planning&Zoning Commission was <br /> called to order by Chairman F. Martinson at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Pequot <br /> Lakes City Hall. All Commission members were present. <br /> MOTION BY G. WELU AND SECONDED BY C. CLARK THAT THE MINUTES <br /> OF THE OCTOBER 14, 2000 MEETING BE APPROVED WITH/WITHOUT <br /> CORRECTIONS. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. <br /> REZONING- EAST 1/2 OF LOT 1,BLOCK 4,PEQUOT. <br /> The City Council is considering selling the lot mentioned above which is zoned Public <br /> Use. An appraiser stated that the surrounding property is zoned Commercial and is in plain <br /> view from the highway. <br /> Mr. Hanson,who was not present is interested in purchasing the lot to construct a new <br /> home. The lot would need to be rezoned as Medium Density Residential. <br /> Mrs. Glenda Schmidt,who was not present is also interested in the property would like to <br /> construct an apartment building or townhouse for the Senior Citizens. This would need to <br /> be rezoned as Multi-Family. <br /> Present was Mr. Dennis Misener,Ms. C. Wefbfhfhfhbfb,Mr. drgdrgdg and Mr. Mike <br /> French, homeowners adjacent to the property mentioned above. <br /> Mr. Misener presented a signed petition to the Commission stating the property be Zoned <br /> Residential. Misener also stated that the property was assured to Mr. Hanson at a prior <br /> City Council meeting. <br /> After much discussion the Commission decided to recommend to the City Council that the <br /> above property be rezoned Medium Density Residential. <br /> MOTION BY T. SACCOMAN AND SECONDED BY J. THOMPSON THAT A <br /> RESOLUTION BE ADOPTED AND BE PRESENTED TO THE CITY COUNCIL TO <br /> RECOMMEND THE REZONING OF THE EAST 1/2 OF LOT 1,BLOCK 4,PEQUOT, <br /> TO MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. <br />
