SIBLEY TOWNSHIP REGULAR BOARD MEETING <br /> AUGUST 14,2001 <br /> SIBLEY TOWNSHIP HALL <br /> PRESENT: Mary Pfeiffer,Dave Sjoblad,Dorothy Marchwich,Cindy Gish,Cathy Malecha <br /> Guests: Gary Peterson,Joni Tulenchik,David Kennedy <br /> Minutes of the July 10,2001 Meeting were approved as read by a motion of Dorothy Marchwick,seconded <br /> by David Sjoblad,all ayes,motion carried. <br /> Charles Peterson-to re-zone property from Forestry to Rural Residential and Commercial. A motion by <br /> David Sjoblad and seconded by Dorothy Marchwick to accept the recommendation of the Sibley Township <br /> Planning Commission to re-zone Charles Peterson property from Forestry to Rural Residential and <br /> Commercial with the condition that the re-zoning and parcel division be recorded and copy given to Sibley <br /> Township. All ayes,motion carried. <br /> Daniel Couture-Variance request:To obtain a variance from setback of 35 ft from ROW to 10 ft from <br /> ROW to construct a garage- Motion by David Sjoblad and seconded by Dorothy Marchwick to accept the <br /> Sibley Planning Commission recommendation to grant the variance to Daniel Couture with following <br /> conditions: Garage to be the same siding and color as the house,Plant a buffer of trees between the garage <br /> and the ROW and the south property line. Plan to be approved and on file with the Zoning office. Garage <br /> must be single story and no habitation. All ayes,motion carried. <br /> Larry(Tony)Fyle-Re-zone from Residential to rural Residential,Motion by David Sjoblad and seconded <br /> by Dorothy Marchwick to accept the recommendation of the Sibley Planning Commission to re-zone Larry <br /> Fyle's property from Residential to Rural Residential. All ayes,motion carried. <br /> Scott Pederson-To sub-divide property to put house on,and give property to daughter. Motion by David <br /> `-' Sjoblad to accept the recommendation of the Sibley Planning Commission to sub-divide the Pederson <br /> property with the condition contingent approval upon the proposed legal description for subdivision of land <br /> by metes and bounds prepared and certified by a Registered Land Surveyor and the signature of the <br /> Planning Commission chair,and recorded prior to the transfer of ownership. All ayes,motion carried. <br /> Dorothy Marchwick made a motion to waive the fee to re-zone Mr.Pederson's property from Residential to <br /> Waterfront Commercial. Motion seconded by David Sjoblad,all ayes,motion carried. This was an error in <br /> the township zoning map. <br /> David Sjoabld made a motion to accept the recommendation of the Sibley Planning Commission to accept <br /> the Crow Wing County Travel Trailer and Camping Ordinance by reference with the following additions: <br /> Campers on site during construction period be a conditional use,seasonal campers require a yearly permit <br /> with yearly inspections. Motion seconded by Dorothy Marchwick <br /> David Sjoblad made a motion to accept the recommendation of the Sibley Planning Commission to amend <br /> Section 70-080—No Accessory Building or structure shall be constructed on any lot prior to the <br /> construction of the principle building to which it is accessory,on lots zoned Rural Residential(RR)and <br /> Residential(R-1)ADD without a conditional use permit. Motion seconded by Dorothy Marchwick,all <br /> ayes,motion carried. <br /> David Sjoblad made a motion to accept the recommendation of the Sibley Planning Commission to Amend <br /> Section 70-030 Sibley Ordinance for Refuse,Weeds and Junk Cars. <br /> Abandoned vehicle-passenger vehicle and trucks in an inoperative state due to age,damage,or <br /> malfunction shall not be parked outside for a period exceeding 7 days,inoperative shall mean incapable of <br /> movement under it's own power and in need of repair or junking and shall include unlicensed vehicles and <br /> vehicles incapable of legal movement on public roads. <br /> Residentail District—0 abandoned vehicles <br />
