Cheryl Karnowski, 27082 Pine Cone Lane, Pequot Lakes, MN, was in the audience and
requested verification that this would only be a single family dwelling. She was
concerned that there would be extra traffic on the existing road. The road has never been
maintained by the Township and that it is currently maintained by the land owners. It
was suggested that an Association be formed to cover the costs of maintenance.
Ms. Jensen stated that her daughter would be purchasing the lot and a single family
residence would be built.
A motion by Joe Dotty, seconded by Bill Habein, to approve the metes and bounds sub-
division. All members voted"aye". Motion carried.
APPLICANT: Mike Arvig, Evergreen Development
12504 ABC Drive
Crosslake, MN 56442
Applicant requests preliminary replat approval of Evergreen Second Addition.
Mr. Marohn explained Mr. Slayton's Staff Report. Mr. Slayton recommended approval
of the preliminary replat with four conditions.
Keven McCormick, Landecker& Assoc., explained that Lots 2, 4, 9, & 11 will be
vacated on the Final Replat. Mr. Arvig stated that the cul-de-sac at the end of Spruce
Court would be removed and 6 to 8 parking spaces would added for guests. Mr. Arvig
stated that 80 to 100 trees will be moved to the north end of the property. The future
storage area in the original plat would be removed. This area now would be used for an
alternate sewer. It was recognized that owners need storage areas, but they could be off
premise. Mr. Arvig also stated that the wells are monitored 3 times a year. The City
should receive copies of these reports. Mr. Arvig agreed to forward copies to the City.
A motion was made by Tommy Woog, seconded by Karl Moon, to accept replat
approval, subject to the removal of the storage area condition, but to include the original
13 conditions. All members voted"aye". Motion carried.
RECESS.
There were no additions or deletions to the agenda.
A motion by John Derksen, seconded by Karl Moon, to approve the Minutes of the May
meeting with the following corrections: the spelling of Mr. Marohn's name be corrected.
Mr. Marohn pointed out the two letters that had been written to the City of Jenkins. An
EAW would be required due to more than 50 units for the campground and a NPDES
would be required for the golf course. Discussion followed regarding the City of Jenkins
