Tommy Woog stated that the City had not grown out that far yet and that there are other <br /> growth areas in the Comprehensive Plan. He also pointed out that there are no city <br /> services in this location. <br /> Karl Moon stated that rezoning would not maintain the Forest Management Plan. <br /> Mr. Habein stated that the Commission should not deviate from the Plan. Rezoning <br /> would increase density requiring services. The Plan has development close to city <br /> services. <br /> A motion was made by Bill Habein, seconded by Karl Moon, to deny the request to <br /> rezone to residential and commercial in view of the Comprehensive Plan and the Staff <br /> Report. Martin Nelson and Joe Dotty voted"nay". All other members voted"aye". <br /> Request denied. <br /> APPLICANT: Joseph Carl Bergquist <br /> 35380 Silver Sands Road <br /> Pequot Lakes, MN 56472 <br /> Applicant requests a rezone from Industrial to Commercial. <br /> Mr. Marohn read from his Staff Report. The property is located behind the Liberty Tool <br /> building. It was his recommendation that the Commission approve the request. <br /> Mr. Bergquist stated that he owns a screen print embroidery business, Northland <br /> Sportswear, and currently leases retail space on County Road 11. <br /> A motion was made by Joe Dotty, seconded by John Derksen, to change the zoning <br /> classification from Industrial to Commercial. All members voted"aye". Motion carried. <br /> APPLICANT: Karen Jensen <br /> 27116 Pine Cone Lane <br /> Pequot Lakes, MN 56472 <br /> Applicant requests approval for a metes and bounds subdivision. <br /> Mr. Marohn described Dennis Slayton's Staff Report. He explained that there was one <br /> conforming lot and one non-conforming lot. Mr. Slayton recommended approval. <br /> Mr. Marohn explained what a metes and bounds description was. Ms. Jensen stated that <br /> she had a Compliance Certificate from Bud Sergent and 2 alternate drain field <br /> evaluations. <br />
