Bittner visited the site and reported there was no erosion, but the mat placed on
the slope to the lake appeared to be dead. The Commission advised her to
check the site in May.
A motion was made by Karl Moon, seconded by John Derksen, to assess the five
times after-the-fact fine for this violation ($150 X 5= $750.00), and recommend
the after-the-fact portion of the fine ($600.00) be designated to a lake education
program. All members voted "aye". Motion carried.
WILDERNESS POINT VILLAS LLC.
Chad Connor, WSN was in attendance representing Thomas Steffens. Mike
Wagener also attended. Wilderness Point had received Commission permission
at the September meeting to trade campsites for used cabins. They have now
made application for new cabins to be constructed. It would have been difficult to
move the cabins in without cutting down trees. The new cabins are larger (832
sq. ft.) than the used cabins (600 sq. ft.) and the loft area and decks were not
included in ratio. Campsite areas are approximately 740 sq. ft.
After much discussion, it was decided to permit anything, new or used,
exchanging actual square footage of either campsite or mobile home or cabin.
Any alteration cannot exceed current size, new or used.
\.. To trade 2 sites for 1 needs Commission approval.
FOLLOW-UP MEETING — FRIDAY.
Two appointments have been made to follow-up on Conditional Use Permits.
Friday, October 22 at 8:00 Mr. Woog and Mr. Moon will meet Bittner at the Buck
residence. On Thursday, October 28, at 3:00 Mr. Derksen and Mr. Woog will
meet Bittner at Jon's Autobody in the Industrial Park.
ORDINANCE REVIEW.
4.5 (5) Dwellings to be moved in: Used Homes discussed above 6. c.
4.4 (2 k) Does 1995 ever change?
4.6 Other Standards. Add to Section. Add DNR, MPCA, & Minnesota Planning
standards.
Commission would like to see similarities to existing ordinance. Bittner will
furnish.
ZONING ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT.
Planning Commission 6
October 21, 2004
