The Planning Commission meeting was reconvened.
NEW BUSINESS:
5 a. Metes and Bounds Subdivision — Pequot Lakes HRA.
Mr. Marohn explained his Staff Report. Sharon Thurlow, HRA, was in
attendance and described the two new homes that would be built at the site.
A motion was made by Karl Moon, seconded by Bill Habein, to approve the
metes and bounds subdivision. All members voted "aye". Motion carried.
Mrs. Thurlow passed around pictures of the demolition of the two trailer houses
that were located on the property.
5. b. County Request for Land Sale.
Crow Wing County Land Commissioner had requested a recommendation from
the City to classify two tax forfeited lots as "Conservation" (no sale) or"Non-
conservation" (offer for sale). The two lots are described as Lots 15 & 16, Block
10, Pequot Shady Shores. The two lots are pre-existing, non-conforming lots as
they do not meet the minimum lot size requirement. A pre-existing, non-
conforming lot would not require a variance, provided it met at least 80% of the
required lot area. They are in a non-sewered area and would require 16,000 sq.
ft. Their total lot area is 13,200 sq. ft. The lots serve no function if they are not
developed.
A motion was made by Karl Moon, seconded by Mark Hallan, to recommend the
lots be offered for sale and classified as Non-conservation by the City Council.
All members voted "aye". Motion carried.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
A motion was made by Karl Moon, seconded by Marty Nelson, to accept the
January Minutes as read. All members voted "aye". Motion carried.
ZONING ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT:
Bittner quickly pointed out the two permits that were issued and the seven letters
that were sent out.
