After this hearing, and after passing a resolution ordering the <br />improvement and preparation of plans, the Council requested a proposal from Widseth Smith <br />Nolting to assist the City in preparation of plans and other tasks necessary to complete this <br />proposed project. <br />At this point, improvements under consideration for the Wildlife Trail project include: <br />• Use of the existing roadbed <br />• Minimal clearing and roadway ditches where necessary to accommodate drainage <br />• 2-inch thick 18-foot and 16-foot wide paved surfaces <br />• Approximate 2-inch thick "sweetening" of Class 5 aggregate base <br />• 1-foot wide Class 5 aggregate shoulders <br />• Bituminous gutters on either side of sags / low points <br />• Erosion control during construction <br />• Minimal turf restoration <br />It is our understanding that these improvements would be funded as an assessment-type <br />project and in accordance with the City's present policies relating to such. <br />Based on the above, we propose to perform the following tasks: <br />• Obtain utility information for the proposed project via a Gopher State One-Call design <br />locate and show this information on the construction plans <br />• Perform a field survey to obtain topography and pick up any visible property corners <br />• Prepare construction drawings, including plan and profile sheets, erosion control sheets, <br />and cross sections <br />• Prepare construction specifications / Contract Manual <br />• Estimate quantities <br />engineering j architecture E land surveying � environmental services <br />
