City Council Minutes <br />January 21, 2014 <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />----------------------- <br />� <br />PARKS <br />• (13) Complete Sibley Lake Park <br />•(12) Outdoor ice skating rink (with roo� <br />Notes: <br />Direct the Park Commission to continue working on Sibley Lake Park <br />improvements and to begin the process of reviewing the idea of an <br />outdoor skating rink. <br />It was suggested that the Park Commission consider adding two additional <br />members and possibly change the meeting time to a later time to allow <br />more flexibility for those people who are employed. <br />Sibley Park - Components of this project are currently being worked on by <br />the Park Commission. They include adding a dog park, removing the <br />existing playground equipment, adding new playground equipment, <br />burying the overhead power lines, renovation of Pequot Boulevard, <br />removing old steps, and building new steps. Some of these items are <br />included in the City's Capital Improvement Plan. Council Member <br />Pederson suggested a professional overall plan drawn up for Sibley Park <br />— <br />PUBLIC WORKS <br />•(11) Develop street criteria for street improvements <br />•(6) Extend Benvelle Road to C.R. 107 as an alternate route into town <br />•(5) Sibley Street – bike and walking path <br />• Highway 371 project <br />o Turnbacks – continue to work with committee, county and MnDOT <br />o(4) Consider City equipment needed to accept turnbacks and to <br />maintain gateways to the City <br />• (3) Develop a road plan <br />• (1) Redesign City Hall <br />• Gateways to City <br />o Highway 371 and County Road 11 <br />o County Road 17 and Highway 371 <br />o County Road 168 and Highway 371 <br />• Sewer Facility Study <br />Notes: <br />• Street Criteria for Street Improvements – Council Member Pederson <br />suggested that the City have criteria to help determine which roads have <br />� <br />
