It was the consensus of the Council that more <br />information is needed before the Council can make the decision to accept <br />the turnback of Highway 371. Council Member Gardner stated that if the <br />County does not want to negotiate the future maintenance of the roads, he <br />would not want to continue with the negotiations. Council Member <br />Pederson stated that he is not ready to make a decision on Highway 371 <br />because of the timing issue; in reality this will not affect the City for <br />another ten years. He suggested that the City could consider taking back <br />the county roads and not Highway 371. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER MOVED THAT THE HIGHWAY 371 <br />TURNBACK COMMITTEE FORWARD THE INITIAL NEGOTIATING <br />DOCUMENT RELATING TO THE HIGHWAY TURNBACKS TO CROW <br />WING COUNTY. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />2.
