� <br />City Council Minutes <br />September 3, 2013 <br />Page 7 of 8 <br />CARD. COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />10.3. Job Points — Maintenance Emplovees <br />The Clerk stated that the Job Evaluation Committee completed an outside <br />equity market research to ensure that the pay for all positions was <br />comparable with cities of populations of 2,000 to 4,000 residents. The <br />market research was done through the League of Minnesota Cities salary <br />survey. <br />The result of the search showed that the pay for the maintenance <br />positions is not comparable to similar positions. Because of this the <br />Committee is recommending to increase the maintenance employee's <br />points by 10% effective January 1, 2014. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO INCREASE THE POINTS <br />FOR THE MAINTENANCE POSITIONS BY 10 PERCENT EFFECTIVE <br />JANUARY 1, 2014. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />� <br />10.4. Request to Reassign Funds <br />Nancy Malecha stated that there is currently $18,870.39 in the HRA <br />capital outlay carryover account. The account was established in 2006 to <br />fund potential WAC and SAC hookup charges for HRA buildings. She <br />noted that because there have been no HRA projects since 2006, and <br />because there are none projected in the near future, she is recommending <br />that the funds be reassigned to council contingency. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO REASSIGN $18,870.39 IN <br />HRA CAPITAL CARRYOVER FUNDS TO COUNCIL CONTINGENCY. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER SECONDED THE MOTION.
