COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />4. Oqen Forum <br />There was no one present for Open Forum. <br />5. Presentations <br />5.1. Preliminarv Levv <br />The City Clerk informed the Council that Nancy Malecha has made the <br />amendments to the budgets as requested by the Council at the August <br />20t" Council budget work session. She noted that with these amendments <br />� the preliminary levy is at $1,618,823 which represents an 8.91 % increase <br />from the 2013 levy. She reminded the Council that once the preliminary <br />levy is set it cannot be increased but it can be decreased prior to setting <br />the final levy in December. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 13- <br />24 SETTING THE CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES PRELIMINARY 2014 TAX <br />LEVIES. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />6.1 Planning Commission Report <br />Report given by Justin Burslie. No Council action required. <br />6.2. Timber Rid_c�e Plat <br />6.2A. Rezoninq Request from Shoreline Commercial to Shoreline Residential — <br />Applicants — Patrick Smith and Robert Rickard <br />Staff report by Justin Burslie. Justin explained that the applicants are <br />proposing to rezone property located at 30827 Pequot Boulevard from <br />Shoreline Commercial to Shoreline Residential. He noted that the property <br />is approximately 4.27 acres in size. He stated that the Planning <br />�'" Commission held a public hearing and received no public comment on the <br />
