As opposed to citing you formally for a violation of the Ordinances, we would like the
opportunity to work with you to correct the situation. We are requesting that by no
later than June 14,2005,you remove the portable sign.
Failure to comply with the Ordinance by June 14, 2005, will prompt us to take more
aggressive action. This would likely include administrative fines for each day the
violation continues, civil action to obtain a court order directing you to comply with the
Ordinance and could potentially include criminal action.
Having portable signs on a public sidewalk is a health and safety issue that we take very
seriously. Please understand our seriousness and commitment to uphold the Ordinances.
We hope you will take this opportunity to work with us and resolve this matter.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
Dawn Bittner
Zoning Administrator
Enc.
CC: Planning Commission
Sandy Peine, City Clerk
Mark E.
