Zoning Administrator's Report A. February Permits: The following permits were issued over the last month by the Zoning Department: 1. BLMM, LLC, 30713 Highway 371, for a sign; 2. Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union, 30483 State Highway 371, for a sign. *** Permit applications through February, 2012 are 5, compared with 7 for 2011, 6 for 2010, 0 for 2009, 7 for 2008, 10 for 2007, 14 for 2006, 12 for 2005 and 14 for 2004! B. Correspondence: Your Staff sent the following correspondence since the last meeting: 1. February 9 letter to MN/DOT regarding proposed subdivision at animal shelter; 2. February 9 letter to Thomas Cambre, attorney for animal shelter, regarding subdivision application; 3. February 13 letter to Tom and Toni Fleck regarding Planning Commission interpretation; 4. February 15 letter to Wayne Fjerstad and Pam Benson regarding 60-day letter; 5. February 22 letter to Todd Tolifson, Rose City Sign, regarding 60-day letter; 6. February 23 letter to Gary Peterson regarding metes and bounds subdivision; 7. March 1 letter to Ryanland Properties LLC regarding violation on Lower Cullen Lake; 8. March 8 letter to Heather Becker, Crow Wing County Land Services Dept., regarding tax forfeit parcel. C. Potential Violations/Enforcement Actions: The City Staff is currently working on the following potential violations/enforcement actions. We will report on each of these each month until they are resolved to the satisfaction of the Planning Commission. ➢ Virgil Dahl—This matter has been forwarded to the Prosecuting Attorney. (10/06) ➢ Peterson, Gary—Extensive grading. Mr. Peterson has been fined by the MPCA and the MPCA is monitoring restoration. (7/08) ➢ Kristine Sivanich—Exterior storage and abandoned vehicles.
