ORDINANCE NUMBER 23-XX,SECOND SERIES <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 17 OF THE CITY CODE <br /> REGARDING BUILDING HEIGHT IN THE PATRIOT DEVELOPMENT ZONE <br /> CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES <br /> COUNTY OF CROW WING <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> The City Council of the City of Pequot Lakes does ordain as follows: <br /> Purpose and Intent: The purpose and intent of this ordinance is to amend Chapter 17 of the Pequot Lakes City <br /> Code regarding building height in the Patriot Development Zone. <br /> Amendment: Chapter 17,Article 5.16 shall be amended as follows: <br /> Section 17-5.16 PATRIOT DEVELOPMENT (PD) <br /> 1. Purpose and Intent: To support and facilitate public or private development of this area by <br /> creating recreational, multi-family residential, commercial and industrial opportunities to <br /> enhance the value and quality of life within our community. Multi-family residential <br /> development must be located between the Paul Bunyan Trail and the future extension of <br /> Larsen Parkway. <br /> 2. Compatibility: The Patriot Development zone is established on an 85 acre parcel located <br /> in the City of Pequot Lakes adjacent to four-lane Highway 371 and the Paul Bunyan State <br /> Trail. <br /> 3. Lot,Use and Density Requirements: <br /> PD <br /> Building height—feet,maximum,principal structure—feet,maximum 3`550 <br /> Effective Date: This ordinance amendment shall be in full force and effect from and after passage and <br /> publication according to state law. <br /> Repeal: This ordinance shall repeal all ordinances inconsistent herewith. <br /> Passed by the Pequot Lakes City Council this di day of ,2023. <br /> Tyler Gardner <br /> Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Richard Spiczka <br /> City Administrator <br />
