AGENDA ITEM # 10.2.
REPORT TO
CITY COUNCIL
Date: October 5, 2004
Subject: Chamber Building Lease
Report: The City has been working on a draft lease
agreement between the Chamber and City for the lease of
the Chamber Building. The City (myself, Cathy, and
Joanne) will be meeting with the Chamber Board to discuss
the proposed lease. I would like some clarification from the
Council on the following two issues prior to meeting with
the Chamber board.
Constructional changes - Should constructional changes
be approved by the Council?
Lease payments — When the payments for the building
have been paid in full by the Chamber, the draft lease
assumes that the Chamber will continue to pay the City
$788.39 per month for rent. I don't believe the Chamber is
expecting to pay a lot of money for rent, if any, once the
building is paid for, nor does the City expect to receive
$788.39 a month.
`.,
