i <br /> AGENDA ITEM #11 .1 . <br /> i <br /> REPORT TO <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> Date: September 5, 2006 <br /> Sub_i ect: Preliminary Tax Levy for General Fund and <br /> HRA and Preliminary Budget Adoption <br /> Report: At the August 8, 2006, Council meeting, the <br /> Council reviewed the preliminary general fund and <br /> enterprise fund budgets. The revised budget numbers are <br /> attached in the 2007 Preliminary Budget Summary. The <br /> revisions to the budgets that were authorized by the <br /> Council are listed at the end of this report. The new budget <br /> numbers reflect these revisions except for the items that <br /> will be reviewed at final levy. <br /> At the August 8, 2006, Council meeting, the proposed <br /> general fund levy was at $1,388,900. Following the <br /> revisions requested by the Council, the new general fund <br /> levy amount is at $1,384,700. This number reflects the <br /> reduction in the wage from 4.5% to 4.2%. <br /> The Council must approve the preliminary budget and <br /> preliminary levy at the September 5th meeting.
